About GrantScout

GrantScout is a curated feed of sustainability funding for early-stage companies, nonprofits and research teams. Grants, public tenders, subcontracts, accelerators and innovation challenges — surfaced from government portals, multilaterals, foundations and private programmes, updated daily.

What we cover

Grants — open calls from governments (Grants.gov, UKRI, EU Funding Portal, GOV.UK), multilaterals (IATI), foundations and philanthropy (ClimateWorks, CIFF, VCMI), plus prizes, fellowships, tax credits and SBIR/STTR topics.

Tenders — public procurement notices from 50+ official portals (TED EU, World Bank, UNGM, SAM.gov, UK Find a Tender, AusTender, and country portals across LATAM, Africa, Asia and the EU).

Subcontracts & partner programmes — calls for partners published by primes (Palladium, DT Global), accelerators (F6S programmes), and innovation challenges (IFC TechEmerge).

Funder & buyer directory — 600+ active funders and 15,000+ buyers (offtakers, corporates committing to climate-relevant spend) so you can target outreach beyond just the open opportunities.

How we classify

Every record passes through a deterministic pre-filter (CPV codes for tenders, sustainability-keyword matching for everything else) before any AI runs. That keeps cost down and noise out: roughly 90% of raw inbound is dropped before classification.

Survivors go to a Claude classifier with a strict, hand-curated sector taxonomy (32 sustainability-relevant slugs — renewable energy, carbon removal, regenerative agriculture, etc.). Output is hard-filtered against that vocabulary so a record is only tagged with a sector when the call genuinely targets it.

We re-classify historic records when we tighten prompts — the most recent pass (May 2026) removed spurious sector tags from ~58% of the tender backlog.

Source attribution

Each card shows the source it came from. GrantScout doesn't originate any funding — we link straight back to the official listing so you apply on the source's own portal. If a card's data looks wrong, the source page is the canonical reference.

Snapshot — refreshed hourly. Active rows only (open tenders, active grants/programmes).

Data freshness

  • Daily scrape (06:00 UTC) — grants pipeline.
  • Daily scrape (07:00 UTC) — tenders pipeline.
  • Weekly scrape (Sun 08:00 UTC) — intelligence pipeline (funding flows + buyer signals).

Past-deadline rows are auto-expired. Rows with deadlines more than 5 years out are hidden by default (override with ?include_stale=1).

What we deliberately don't do

No paid promotion. Cards are ranked on relevance and deadline, never on payment.

No paywall. The full feed is free; we don't gate results behind a sign-up.

No application service yet. We surface opportunities and link to the official portal — applications happen there. (A grant-writing assistant is on the roadmap.)

Found something wrong?

We'd rather hear about a stale link, a mis-tagged sector or a missing funder than not. Email hello@grantscout.io with the listing URL and what looked off.
