What we're building next
An opinionated, public list of what's queued, in flight, and parked. Order changes when reviewers and founders tell us what to prioritise — if something here is wrong for your use case, tell us.
Now — in flight
Stop off-topic grants (alumni programmes, generic civics fellowships) leaking into "Closing soon" — require a non-empty sustainability sector and early-stage fit.
Re-run the new strict classifier prompt across the active grant backlog to clear weak "climate-adaptation" fallbacks left over from the v0 prompt.
Adopt the shared formatMoney helper on grant + tender + subcontract cards (kills hardcoded $-prefix on GBP/EUR rows).
Next — queued
A profile per funder with their open opportunities, recent grants from the past-awards table, and the application notes we collect. Today /funders ends at the card.
Account-less save (cookie / link-based at first), then a weekly digest of new matches based on your saved sectors. No login wall.
A short onboarding (org type, country, stage, ticket size) that filters the feed and powers a match-score on every card.
Hamburger nav, hero clamp() typography, breadcrumb truncation. Site is mostly usable on phone today but reads like a desktop app.
iCal feed of your saved opportunities so deadlines land in the founder's actual calendar.
Later — exploring
Pre-fill a draft application from your eligibility profile + the call's evaluation criteria. Always opens the official portal for the actual submission.
Paste an opportunity URL → get a "looks like a fit" / "not for you" verdict with the specific eligibility lines that triggered it.
A short, opinionated guide to navigating sustainability funding: what dilutive vs. non-dilutive looks like in practice, how prizes differ from grants, when SBIR/STTR actually applies.
For each VC funder, show portfolio companies and which grants those companies have won. Helps founders identify funds with "grant-graduating" companies in their stage / sector.
A small browser extension that flags opportunities you save while reading the funder's own site. Or an email forwarding address (forward newsletters → we add them to your watchlist).
Deliberately not on the roadmap
- A paywall. The full feed will stay free.
- Sponsored / promoted opportunities. Ranking will always be relevance + deadline.
- Re-hosting application forms. We will always link to the official portal.
- A general grant marketplace. Sustainability is the focus; everything else is out of scope.
Want to influence what ships first?
Tell us what you're actually trying to do. The reviewer who flagged the sector-tagging noise on the Opportunities feed got that fixed within a week. hello@grantscout.io — describe the funding workflow, we'll wire the feature.
